Walt Hunting Stadium / Marv Heikkinen Field Renaming Ceremony

Signage designs for Phase 1 of enhancements to Walt Hunting Stadium and Marv Heikkinen Field will be unveiled at this ceremony on the stadium concourse. The ceremony precedes the 7 p.m. football game between Denfeld and Grand Rapids.

Members of the Walt Hunting and Marv Heikkinen families will be on hand for the unveiling ceremony.

The unveiling ceremony will occur just inside the entry gate to Walt Hunting Stadium. School district administrators and school board members will be in attendance.

All of the Denfeld “stadium teams” will be a part of the ceremony, including football, girls and boys track & field, girls and boys soccer, cheerleaders and the pep band.

In addition to the new signage honoring Hunting and Heikkinen, the first honorary pillars highlighting some of Denfeld’s finest stadium athletes will be unveiled.
