Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Game 2017

The Duluth Police Department play softball against the Duluth Fire Department for the 10th annual Guns and Hoses Charity Softball Game. Net proceeds from food and beverage sales will be donated to the Northern Lights Foundation, a non-profit organization that gives grants to children facing life-threatening illnesses. Paddle the Pads 2017 Bass Fly Fishing Tournament

Help celebrate Duluth’s newly-restored section of the St. Louis River at Chambers Grove Park by competing in the “Paddle the Pads” fishing contest. More than a quarter-mile of essential spawning beds and fish habitat were recreated thanks to the State of Minnesota’s Outdoor Heritage Fund. Hillfest 2017

The eighth annual Hillfest neighborhood street festival is for anyone who enjoys Duluth's Hillside neighborhoods. It takes place at the intersection of Fourth Street and Sixth Avenue East. The 22nd annual NorthShore Inline Marathon is a 26.2-mile race along Highway 61. Grandma’s Marathon 2018 Registration Opens

Fall 2017 Rivet Run

The Rivet Run is a scenic 5k run or walk on the river trail at Pattison State Park, south of the city of Superior. The course passes the 30-foot waterfall twice. Registration is capped at 100 participants. Sleeveless wicking shirts are available to those who register by Nov. 1. Register for both the Summer and Fall Rivet Runs and save $10. There will be door prizes, and also edibles after the run. Proceeds benefit Nordic ski trails.

ALS Walleye Tournament 2018

The 23rd annual ALS Walleye Tournament on Island Lake raises money to combat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gerhig's disease. About 300 anglers are expected to participate, raising roughly $150,000. Grandma’s Marathon 2018
