Jugger is a five-on-five team-combat foam-sword-fighting sport that combines elements of soccer, rugby and fencing into one game. Both teams vie for control of a ball with the ultimate goal of scoring a point on the opposing side of the field. Weekly practices at Chester Bowl are held each Sunday and are open to all at no cost. It's Anglers Night at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center as the Duluth Harbor Monsters take on the Ozarks Lunkers in Arena League football. Gates open at 6 p.m.; kickoff is at 7 p.m. Since this game is also Anglers Night the Harbor Monster mascot, Ripp, will be wearing a full angler's ensemble. There will also be fishing-themed game break events and a halftime show featuring the band Indecent Proposal.

The 29th annual NorthShore Inline Marathon is a skating race along Highway 61. The half marathon starts at 6:45 a.m. and the full marathon starts at 8:45 a.m. The course follows the same route as Grandma's Marathon from Two Harbors down the North Shore, then rolls through the I-35 tunnels.
