The Duluth Huskies baseball club, champion of the Northern League's Great Plains Division in the first-half of the season, takes on the Eau Claire Express in a best-of-three series to begin the postseason. Proctor's 46th annual Hoghead Festival, the city's tribute to its railroad industry, runs Aug. 15-21. Events include the car show on Aug. 17 and Bike Night on Aug. 18. The parade and street dance are on Aug. 20.
This 45-minute endurance class combines intervals of strength and cardio exercises to target the entire body. Each class will be different from the previous, which will assist in creating more defined muscles, increasing endurance and burning calories.

The 47th annual Grandma's Marathon is a 26.2-mile race on scenic Highway 61 along the north shore of Lake Superior. It begins just outside of Two Harbors and finishes in Duluth's Canal Park. The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon begins at 6:15 a.m. on the edge of Duluth's city limits and follows the regular marathon course through the heart of Duluth. The full marathon starts at 7:45 a.m. The winner should cross the finish line around 10 a.m.
