The Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, the Douglas County Veterans Service Office and the Western Lake Superior Trolling Association host the annual Vets on the Lake event. The goal is to get 120 veterans (60 from Minnesota and 60 from Wisconsin) out for a day of fishing on Lake Superior.
A fish fry and camaraderie follow under a tent in the parking lot.
