Apr 22, 2023, 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm | Free | Duluth Public Library

Event Navigation

Award-winning author Thomas Peacock will discuss The Importance of a Cultural Voice, in his writing and in the larger culture at Lake Superior Writers’ April Book Group for Writers.

An Anishinaabe elder, Peacock will discuss how he shares cultural and historic Ojibwe stories and give his thoughts on how — and if — non-Native writers should approach Native characters.

This will be a hybrid event, available both by Zoom and in person. The event is free, but organizers ask that attendees register by 6 p.m. Friday, Apr. 21. Email writers @ lakesuperiorwriters.org to register and indicate in-person or online attendance.

This event is made possible by the Minnesota Arts Board and voters of the state of Minnesota.
