Take your indoor climbing to a new level with lead climbing. Learn how to climb from the ground up, trailing a rope and clipping pre-placed bolts as you go. Practice techniques for tying in, clipping quickdraws, falling safely and belaying a lead climber.
Climbing equipment and gear will be provided — you provide personal harness, shoes, and belay device if available. Register at https://umdrsop.d.umn.edu/ by noon the day of the event and make sure you’re checked off to belay at UMD’s climbing walls. Cost is $5 for UMD Student Members and $15 for others
