Runa Yoga leads this yoga class for all ages and skill levels. Attendees should bring their own mat. Class will be held on the patio, or inside the taproom if there’s rain. Ecstatic dance is free-form movement inspired by music. The Ecstatic Dance Duluth group holds dances on the second Friday and last Sunday of each month. The focus is on exercise without a nightclub vibe. This class will focus on gentle movement using yoga and tai ji exercises performed from a seated position (chair or mat) and standing. Breathing techniques in this class are meant to calm the mind and help participants feel more grounded and focused. Hartley Nature Center hosts every Thursday through August 29th. Social Pedal is a mountain-bike ride that is designed specifically for beginners. Fitger's Brewhouse presents its 37th annual Brewhouse Triathlon. The long course features a 0.93-mile swim, 24.8-mile bike ride and 6.2-mile run. The short course is a 0.5-mile swim, 12.4-mile bike ride and 3.1-mile run. All ages are welcome to participate. Though the Brewhouse Triathlon is targeted toward more advanced athletes, minors are welcome to register, but a parent or guardian must complete the registration on their behalf. Certified instructor Laura Star leads this one-hour, four-session T’ai Chi Chih class. Participants will learn 10 movements of the meditation. The class runs Aug. 5-8 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. T’ai Chi Chih does not require a particular level of fitness or coordination. For those with physical limitations, movements may be done seated. On the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, 2nd Half-ers meet at Evergreen Community Center from 3-4 p.m. Parks and Recreation Program Course #3583 for 55+ The informal get togethers are intended to grow connections and friendships. And sincere discussions aimed at eliminating isolation and loneliness. Coffee and tea are available. Registration is not required, and drop-ins are okay.
