The Superior Sister City Commission presents this shinnenkai, a traditional Japanese party to celebrate the beginning of the year. The event features samples of Japanese food, opportunities to try on traditional outfits, play games and meet the 2024 student delegation.

Superior shares a special bond with its sister city, Ami-Machi, Japan, which shares similarities with Superior, situated alongside a vast freshwater lake and encompassing both urban and rural landscapes.
