Sanctus Series: The Rosary Sonatas

Erin Aldridge, violinist, and Rachael Kresha, organist, perform three of Heinrich Biber’s Rosary Sonatas that tell the story of Jesus’s crown of thorns, carrying the cross, and crucifixion. These sonatas were completed around 1676, but were published in the 19th century. The works feature violin solos accompanied by organ continuo.
