Outdoor Painters of Minnesota and the Great Lakes Academy of Fine Art have teamed up again to coordinate a weekend of paint-outs around Duluth, with a plein air workshop and reception/sale at GLAFA on Sunday.
Sunday Schedule
9-12 a.m.: Morning paint-out at GLAFA, 810 W. 3rd St, Duluth MN 55806, at lookout behind the old church.
A morning Member Workshop on “The Structure of Trees” with 3rd year GLAFA student Nelia Harper. Participation is free for OPM members, $25 for nonmembers. A separate sign-up form is published on OPM’s web site.
12-1 p.m.: Picnic BYO/takeout lunch.
1-4 p.m.: Afternoon paint-out at or near GLAFA. The neighborhood offers dramatic views and interesting architectural elements.
5-7 p.m.: Artist Reception & Painting Sale at GLAFA, within paintings displayed on their studio easels. Painting sales handled by GLAFA at 30 percent commission.
