One Ring to Rule Them All

The St. Scholastica fall band concert features a fantastical program inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s trilogy, The Lord of the Rings.

Long before the film adaptations, Johan de Meij’s incredible Symphony No.1, The Lord of the Rings, became a pillar of the wind band world. Finally, the band will feature works by Kevin Day and Erika Svanoe, both composed through a consortium that encouraged composers to write a work inspired by the video games of their childhoods.
