The Newfoundland Club of America National Specialty Showcase is a six-day dog show featuring web-pawed dogs.
Events include Draft Test, Obedience and Rally Trial, Health Clinics and Seminars, Baby Puppy Showcase, Top 20/10 Extravaganza, Judges Education Seminar, and a full range of conformation classes culminating in the prestigious Best of Breed Award.
Monday, May 13
9 a.m. Draft Test #1 – NCNC
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration
Tuesday, May 14
9 a.m. – Regional Obedience and Rally Trial – CNC in Rings 2 & 3
9 a.m. – Draft Test #2 – NCNC
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Registration
1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – 6 mos. Beginner Puppy Judging in Ring 1
2:30 p.m. – Pee Wee Handling in Ring 1
3:30 p.m. – Opening Ceremony and Regional Club Parade in Ring 1
5 p.m. – Welcome Reception in the Pier B Ballroom
6 p.m. – NCA Honors & Annual Meeting in the Pier B Ballroom
7 p.m. – Westminster Watch Party in the Pier B Ballroom
Wednesday, May 15
9 a.m. – National Obedience & Rally Trials in Rings 2 & 3
9 a.m. – Puppy & Veteran Sweepstakes in Ring 1
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Registration – Lunch break – Living Legends in Ring 1
2:30 p.m. – Working Dog Summer – Draft Equipment in Ring 2
4 p.m. – Specialty Carting & Wagon Exercises in Ring 3
7 p.m. – Breeders Education Program in the Pier B Ballroom
Thursday, May 16
9 a.m. – Conformation Judging – Dog classes, Brace & Team in Ring 1
5 p.m. – Top 20 Judging in Ring 1
7:30 p.m. – Top 20/10 Cocktails & Hors d’oeuvres at the Pavilion
8:30 p.m. – Top 20/10 Aurora Borealis Ball at the Pavilion
Friday, May 17
Canine Cardiologist & Ophthalmology exams by appointment
9 a.m. – Conformation Judging – Bitch classes, Breeders Class in Ring 1
10 a.m. – CGC Evaluations in Ring 2
12 p.m. – Trick Dog Testing in Ring 3
2:30 p.m. – Honors Parade in Ring 2
4 p.m. – Rescue Parade in Ring 3
6:30 p.m. – Banquet, Raffles & Auction at the Great Lakes Aquarium
Saturday, May 18
8:30 a.m. – Jr Showmanship in Ring 1
9:30 a.m. – Check in for all Best of Breed entries in Ring 1
Time to be determined – Ringside Reception – Conclusion of Breed Judging in Ring 1
