Twin Cities reggae legends Dred I Dread, Minneapolis alternative rockers The Orange Goodness and Duluth jazz-funk favorite AfroGeode & The Gemstones will all perform full sets as part of the Minnesota Music Coalition 2023 Caravan Du Nord.
Dred I Dread was formed in 1998 and chosen as “Best Local Reggae Band” by City Pages Magazine in 1999. The band features talented musicians that come from Jamaica, New Orleans, Minnesota and Türkiye. The band has released four full-length albums and recently released the EP Mount Zion.
The Orange Goodness is an exciting groove-infused alt/indie rock group that creates out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They released their debut EP, Flying Under The Radar Of Chaos, in the fall of 2021.
AfroGeode & The Gemstones features Duluth soul queen AfroGeode fronting a five-piece jazz-funk band. The group plays an eclectic, multi-genre mix of music with a heavy jazz influence.
E-Tickets will be available for $20 on Jan. 26 at eventbrite.com. Paper tickets will be available at Globe News in Superior and Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth. Tickets will be available at the door for $25 while supply lasts.
