A landmark shadow-puppet performance drawing audience members of all ages into a tender, poignant world of Ojibwe culture and history. The journey begins with the Anishinaabe Seven Fires Prophecy and ends with a boy receiving guidance from Migizi (bald eagle) on his long journey home from Indian boarding school. Land of Stories features the artistry of nine local Ojibwe writers, visual artists and musicians.
Opening night performance includes live music and a post-show talk-back with the artists. The children’s matinee on Nov. 18 includes a post-show shadow puppet demonstration.
