The DM&IR #332 steam locomotive is pulling special excursion trains on the North Shore Scenic Railroad on select dates from May 11 to Oct. 27. According to Trains Magazine’s Steam Across America 2023 Edition, there are only 181 working steam locomotives in operation.
Reservations are required and can be made at duluthtrains.com.

May 11 – National Train Day with special events at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum including the firing up of #332
June 8-9 – Two trips each day to Palmers Siding (milepost 16.0) – 10:30 a.m. and 2:10 p.m.
Sept. 14-15 – Railfan Roundtrip each day to Two Harbors – 10 a.m. departure
October 26-27 – Two trips each day to Palmers Siding (milepost 16.0) – 10:30 a.m. and 2:10 p.m.
