Hoyt Lakes Water Carnival 2022

The 67th annual Hoyt Lakes Water Carnival runs July 21–24. The festival features softball, volleyball and bean bag tournaments, a 5K race, turtle races, bounce houses, face painting, archery, mini golf, axe throwing, a beer garden, bingo, queen coronation, a parade, fireworks, a Shockwaves water ski show, live music and more. Hoyt Lakes is located about 50 miles north of Duluth.

The $10 admission covers all of the weekend’s events. Children under age 12 are admitted for free.

Wednesday Schedule
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Book Sale at the Hoyt Lakes Library

Thursday Schedule
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Book Sale at the Hoyt Lakes Library
4 to 7 p.m. – Community Picnic sponsored by PolyMet Mining
5 p.m. – Holey Board Tournament
6 p.m. – Miss Hoyt Lakes Queen Coronation
6 p.m. – Little Miss
7 to 10 p.m. – The Northwoods Band

11 a.m. – Water Carnival Golf Tournament
1 to 2:30 p.m. – Turtle races
2:30 p.m. – Firetruck rides – after the turtle races
3 p.m. – Kids events at the Midway
5 p.m. – Hibbing Police Dept. K-9 Demo – America’s Top Dog Winner Chase and Dottie
6 p.m. – Shockwaves – Water Ski Show
6 to 8 p.m. – Live music by Shakey at Best
8:30 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. – Live music by GB Leighton
