Flapjack 5k with City Council Candidate Jenna Yeakle

Flapjack is a 5k fun run with pancakes in support for Duluth City Council At-Large candidate Jenna Yeakle.

Yeakle loves running, pancakes, and community-building. Flapjack is a celebrate all three, where “runners, walkers, and other community members can run, walk, and roll together, eat together, and bond over common visions for Duluth.” Participants have the option of donating to Jenna’s campaign during online sign-up or at the race. A hydration station and first aid are available at starting line, finish line and midpoint of the run. Cups, plates, and other utensils are be provided. However, organizers ask attendees to help us make the event as low-waste as possible by bringing their own water cups, water bottles, coffee mugs, and utensils.

Yeakle-made pure maple syrup will be awarded to the first finisher, the person with the most decorative bib, and most unique outfit.

Check-in starts a 9:30 a.m., where participants can make their own bib. The flapjack party runs from 10:30-11:30 at the Waabizheshikana—Western Waterfront Trailhead parking lot.
