Lake Superior Writers presents “Auntie M’s Guide to Greaseless Self-Promotion for Authors” by Tex Thompson. Marketing doesn’t have to be an unbearable chore. This online workshop offers suggestions on where to start.
Tex Thompson will present a two-hour virtual class covering:
- Author skills inventory
- Marketing based on reader feedback
- Parts of a book proposal
- Advertising cost/benefit analysis
- Network building
- Promotional multitasking
Arianne “Tex” Thompson is the author of Children of the Drought, an internationally-published epic fantasy Western series from Solaris, as well as an instructor for Writing Workshops Dallas. This virtual class is designed for traditional and independently published authors as well as unpublished writers with completed work. Hand-outs from the class will be emailed to participants after the event.
The cost is $5 for Lake Superior Writers members and $15 for non-members. Register at lakesuperiorwriters.org to receive an email with a Zoom link. Registration deadline is Friday, Nov. 19.
