Aerostich’s Very Boring Rally 5: Guest Speaker & Storyteller, Robert Higdon
Aerostich is celebrating 40 years. During August, a variety of activities are scheduled to share this business milestone with Very Boring Rally 5. Bob Higdon will discuss "Why people ride bikes, and why they stop." He is a record-holding long-distance rider and a motorcycle journalist. A self-described “recovering attorney,” these days he migrates between Maryland and Florida, depending on where the better riding weather is currently found.”

Up North Excursions Day Trips explore and support arts, music, history and nature in the region. Travel is via coach bus equipped with a bathroom. Pickup location is Perkins West. Voni Glaves is one of two women who have ridden more than a million miles on a BMW motorcycle. Back in the 1970s, Voni had no idea that women could ride motorcycles, but with encouragement from her husband Paul, she learned to ride just so they could take their kids on motorcycle camping trips. And since then there has been no stopping her. Voni and her husband, Paul will share stories and moto tips.

Join the St. Louis County Depot for the annual arrival of the largest model railroad constructed in the Twin Ports. The model will be set up in the Great Hall of the Depot and it is free to see the display. Expand your visit of the Biggest Little trains with a tour of the museum and a ride on the railroad. Big trucks on display from 3-6 p.m. Tractor show from 3-6 p.m. Lawnmower and minibike races from 4-7 p.m. The Cotton Volunteer Fire Department will be grilling food to raise funds. Also: giveaways, raffles, a senior race, a push-mower relay and more.

Safer Sixth Avenue East Public Input Session #2
This is the second of three public-input sessions to review the city's proposed designs for phase-one resurfacing of Sixth Avenue East. It has an open-house format with a chance to ask questions and offer feedback. City staff will give a short presentation at 5:30 p.m. Food and childcare will be provided.

The North Shore Scenic Railroad and Fitger’s are partnering to offer train service to Bentleyville on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 30 to Dec. 23. The Bentleyville Shuttle departs Fitger’s twice each night to provide roundtrip train service to the popular tour of lights in Bayfront Festival Park. The Christmas City Express on the North Shore Scenic Railroad is an annual train ride and storytelling experience.
