Minnesota Wild Open Practice
University of Minnesota Duluth Athletics and the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center host the Minnesota Wild for an open practice. The Wild will be in Duluth with their full roster of players as they finish up their preseason schedule of activities. The Wild last held an open practice in Duluth in 2021. More than 1,000 people were in attendance. This event and parking are free. Doors open at 11 a.m.

Twig Hockey is hosts its third Bingo event to raise money to support our local skaters. Bingo boards cost $1 each. There are no limits on the number of boards purchased. Winner wins up to 50% of each pot (up to $99.00) per round.

After screening at film festivals across the country and winning awards, the movie about the "toughest race in the world" -- the Arrowhead 135 -- screens in Duluth with cast and crew in attendance. Reception across the street at Blacklist Brewing Co. immediately following the screening and Q&A.

A run created to empower women, and to cheer them on while they are celebrated. “Bridging the Gap” is a metaphor for the pay, accessibility and other gaps women face. The Entrepreneur Fund (501c3) and Women’s Business Alliance created the Bridging the Gap Fund. A portion of the proceeds go to this fund that provides women with resources to build and grow sustainable businesses. The race starts high above the big lake at Hawk Ridge with expansive Lake Superior views.…

As part of their fall Distinguished Speaker Series, the University of Minnesota Duluth's Labovitz School of Business and Economics will host speaker Brett Taber, vice president of social impact for the Minnesota Vikings. Taber will speak on his presentation, More Than a Game: Inspiration and Impact Created Through the Power of Sport. Bowlers can sample four different cocktails from rotating distilleries. Games are every other Tuesday night. The league runs from October 10 - April 23, 2024. More details and registration information are available at: skylinesocialandgames.com. Teams include four bowlers. Subs are allowed. There are three games played per night (all 8-pin). Cost is $17/person per night.

Power Spin Blacklight
A 45-minute spin-bike workout with blacklights, rave gear, a fog machine and glow sticks. Attendees are encouraged to wear white, light, or neon clothing and bring a water bottle.

The Cotton Mansion host this restorative hour of yoga. After the session, it's time to snack and sip on lite brunch bites and sparkling cocktails/mocktails. Participants should bring their own yoga mat. All skill levels are welcome. This is a 16+ event.

Spirit of Duluth Hockey Tournament
The 46th annual Spirit of Duluth hockey tournament runs Dec. 1-3. It features Squirt A, Pee Wee AA, Bantam AA and Junior Gold A hockey teams from three states and Canada playing at six arenas -- Duluth Heritage Sports Center (Sill & Seitz arenas), Mars Lakeview, Fryburger, SAHA and DECC. Learn to curl at The Duluth Curling Club and enjoy a burger dinner too. Meet your instructors at dinner and then learn the basics of the sport, rules and etiquette of the game. Participants hit the ice from 6-8 p.m.to learn basic strategy, how to hold and throw the stones and how to sweep effectively.

The Caddy Shack is having another Bloody Mary Morning but this time on a Saturday! The Vikings start playing at noon and the bloody's start brewing at 11 a.m. Toppings include but aren't limited to shrimp, bacon, salami, cheese cubes, olives, pickles, pepperoncinis, cherry tomatoes, celery and beef sticks.
