18th Annual Mojakka Cook-Off
The 18th annual Mojakka Cook-off features a variety of soups and bread. Attendees can vote on their favorite. Prizes are awarded to soup champions at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are available in advance for $9 at the NorthEastern and Carlton County Historical Society, or $10 at the door. Superior Rotary will be holding its 12th annual Craft Beer and Wine Tasting. The social event showcases craft beer and wine tasting, food, silent and live auctions, a spirit wall and a 50/50 Raffle. Funds raised will go to Northwest Wisconsin Community Service Agency and Northwood Technical College Dreamkeepers Fund. These organizations use money for emergency funds.

Life House youth are teaming up with Zeitgeist Arts, performing a variety of acts including song, comedy, poetry and more. Life House is a Duluth-based nonprofit organization that provides services for youth ages 14-24 who are unstably housed and/or navigating various challenges in life.

The East Duluth Catholic Parishes are hosting a three-on-three basketball tournament at Stella Maris High School to raise funds for their youth's summer retreat opportunities. There is a youth division for students ages 11-15 and an adult division for individuals ages 15+. Registration for the youth division is $45/team and the adult division is $60/team. UMD Outdoor Educators Club hosts its 25th annual Outdoor Gear Swap. Bring gently used outdoor gear to sell during the drop-off times, and/or come to the sale at Malosky Stadium on the UMD campus. Sellers set the prices of the gear and take home 85 percent of the profit. White Pine Lodge and Poplar Haus on the Gunflint Trail are celebrating the end of this crazy winter. The event invites participants to take a refreshing and icy dip into Poplar Lake.
