Austin, Texas-based musician Matt the Electrician referenced Duluth in the song “Sad Lisa Waltz” from his 2004 album Long Way Home.

At the 0:41 mark in the track he sings:

It’s a long way home from Duluth, Minnesota
in the ice and cold where the ships come in

Apparently Matt Sever, aka Matt the Electrician, is the nephew of Kenneth Newhams of Duluth Shipping News fame, and appeared in concert at Amazing Grace Bakery and Cafe in 2011.
