Indigenous Writer Series: Gwen Westerman and Linda LeGarde Grover
The Indigenous Writer Series showcases local and regional Indigenous writers. Events include writer presentations, book readings, a Q&A session, book signings and refreshments. The McKnight Foundation and UMD Department of American Indian Studies sponsor the series. On May 18 novelist, Linda LeGarde Grover, and Dakota educator and writer, Gwen Westerman, will showcase their work.

American Indian Community Housing Organization's (AICHO) Indigenous Writer Series continues with the next event featuring Minnesota Poet Laureate Gwen Westerman and Linda LeGarde Grover. In their session, Westerman and LeGarde Grover each talk about their books, read an excerpt, participate in a question and answers segment, and sign books. Parking for the event is free and is located in the parking lot across from the gallery.

Anton Treuer in conversation with Tashia Hart
The American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO) and Zenith Bookstore celebrate author Dr. Anton Treuer as he debuts his novel for young readers, Where Wolves Don't Die. Joining him in conversation at The Depot Theatre is Duluth author Tashia Hart. Dr. Treuer is Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University and author of many award-winning books. His professional work in education, history, Indigenous studies, and long service as an officiant at Ojibwe tribal ceremonies have made him a consummate storyteller…
