Superior Women’s Weekend

Odyssey Resorts’ Caribou Highlands Lodge is hosting a “women’s weekend” on the North Shore of Lake Superior June 17-19. The Superior Women’s Weekend is three days of wellness, adventure, relaxation and fun in the shadows of Lutsen Mountain.

With the help of some local businesses and brands, Caribou Highlands has put together a schedule of wellness-inspired activities, beginning Thursday with a welcome happy hour with wine and cheese from the North Shore Winery.

Sawtooth Outfitters in Tofte will be giving free demonstrations of some of the newest mountain and fat-tire bikes. Instructors from True Earth Yoga will lead sunrise and sunset yoga and stretching classes each day. The track and field team from St. Catherine’s University in St. Paul will conduct guided trial runs on some of the most scenic trails in the Upper Midwest. The Gentleman Forager is teaching a special class on hunting, gathering and cooking local mushrooms. In addition, Odyssey Resorts is hosting a fly-fishing clinic, an agate hunt and canoe tours on the Poplar River. There will also be daily meditation and mindfulness sessions, and guests can unwind with S’mores each night in front of a warm bonfire.

The Bent Paddle Brewery in Duluth will be hosting a beer tasting on Friday evening. Odyssey Resorts’ chefs have prepared a special menu for Saturday night’s dinner. Local musicians Timmy Haus and the Good Time Gals will perform live at the resort.

Caribou Highlands is offering special two- and three-night stay packages for guests.

The Superior Women’s Weekend coincides with the Superior Cycling Association’s SheRides Clinic. SheRides is a women’s-only mountain bike clinic organized to help introduce women to single-track riding and improve their skills. Guests of Caribou Highlands can participate in the SheRides event on June 19.
