Meet Thomas and Betsy Peacock

Thomas and Betsy Peacock have built a catalog of book titles through their Black Bears and Blueberries Publishing Company, which has embraced native authors and illustrators and includes wildly popular children’s books that bring both myth and real life together in teachable adventures. During this event, attendees can spend some time with the Peacocks at Two Loons, learn more about their newest titles and gain insight into the creative process that has encouraged so many titles.

Two Loons Gallery’s third annual “Meet the Artist” exhibition series represents more than 200 local and regional artists whose work encompasses a wide range of media and styles focused on the natural beauty, history and the lifestyle of the region.

Each Saturday between June 3 and November 18, Two Loons hosts one of those artists, who will present work and speak with visitors regarding its content, motivations and inspirations. During these 24 weeks different artists, authors, photographers, woodworkers, glass artists, candle makers, potters, fabric artists and more will be present between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to meet with the public and feature demonstrations and activities.
