Lake Superior Writers Virtual Annual Meeting

Lake Superior Writers presents a morning of inspiration and camaraderie via Zoom with local author Carol Dunbar, whose novel The Net Beneath Us will be released this fall. Dunbar will speak on “Getting the Book Deal: What I know now that I wish I knew then.” She will share what she learned about the publishing industry — advice that turned out not to be true, advice she’s really glad she took, and what she wasn’t prepared for on the road to publication.

Also, Lake Superior Writers 2022 writing contest winners will read from their pieces.

Drawings for door prizes will be held at the end of the event. (Must be virtually present to win.) Prizes include three $50 gift cards from Zenith Bookstore, Fitger’s Bookstore and Honest Dog Books; five $10 gift cards for area coffee shops; and a pre-ordered copy of Carol Dunbar’s book The Net Beneath Us.

The cost of event is $35 for nonmembers, which includes a paid membership to Lake Superior Writers through the end of 2022. Tickets are available at lakesuperiorwriters.org/membership.
