International Women’s Day Run/Walk Celebration
The International Women’s Day Run/Walk starts and ends at Duluth Running Club's store. The event celebrates the launch of registration for the "Bridging the Gap" Duluth Women's Ten Mile event, held on Sept. 28. The East Duluth Catholic Parishes are hosting a three-on-three basketball tournament at Stella Maris High School to raise funds for their youth's summer retreat opportunities. There is a youth division for students ages 11-15 and an adult division for individuals ages 15+. Registration for the youth division is $45/team and the adult division is $60/team. Red Cross Day
UW-Superior invites the community to celebration Red Cross Day. Multiple events will be taking place throughout the day such as hands on CPR demonstrations, honor flight card writing and the opportunity to learn about becoming a Red Cross volunteer. Also, during the day, UW-Superior students will teach lessons about refugees and international humanitarian law and the Red Cross with an exhibit titled Refugee for 75 Minutes.
