Ukrainian-Style Egg Decorating for Christmas
Ukrainian eggs, or pysanky, are created using a wax batik method. This three-hour Duluth Folk School class examines traditional design elements, what the colors symbolize, and some of the stories associated with the eggs. During the class, participants will learn to use a kistka (tiny funnel on a stick) to draw with melted wax on egg shells. The North Shore Scenic Railroad and Fitger’s are partnering to offer train service to Bentleyville on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 30 to Dec. 23. The Bentleyville Shuttle departs Fitger’s twice each night to provide roundtrip train service to the popular tour of lights in Bayfront Festival Park.
