Willard A. Palmer Festival 2021
Dr. Willard A. Palmer will discuss the era in which accordions evolved and the Contino connection that inspired the Palmer-Hughes Accordion Method books. The event includes performances by Dance Attic, Joanna Darrow, Dee Langley and Paul Vargason. A roundtable discussion on composing and arranging music for accordion will be centered around Megumi Hada, who wrote her first two music books in a matter of hours. This online exhibit of paintings, commissioned by the Norwegian Folk Museum, can be viewed on the Nordic Center of Duluth website from May 8 to June 8. Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation host this online public meeting to discuss concept development and the screening process for the Blatnik Bridge project. The agencies will show various concepts for both rehabilitating and replacing the bridge. To prevent further spread of COVID-19, MnDOT is not hosting any in-person public meetings at this time.
