Goin’ Mad at the Rad

The event: “Goin’ Mad at the Rad,” April 2, 2011 at the Radisson in downtown Duluth, is a theme party based on popular television series: “Mad Men” harkening back to the early 1960s and New York City advertising agency culture. The event supports two related exhibits coming this spring to the Duluth Art Institute: “Mad Women,” focusing on the advertising arts by women in our region and “Woman in the Vanguard: Photography of Esther Bubley,” a native of Superior, Wisconsin who made her way as a freelance photographer for Look, Life and National Geographic magazines to name a few of her accomplishments.
