Yoga in Hartley Park

Hartley Nature Center Spring Yoga, two classes offered:

Thursday nights May 19 – June 23 at Hartley Nature Center (3001 Woodland Ave., Duluth)

Back to Basics   4:30-5:30 pm  Beginner or intermediate student who would like to gain confidence in poses, strength and flexibility in your body and develop a comfort level in basic yoga poses. Back to Basics is designed with alignment in mind, focusing on fundamentals incorporating yogic breathing, meditation, and relaxation techniques. Instructor & Contact:  Anne RYT200 218.393.4000

Hatha I   6-7 pm Connecting Asana (poses) with breath awareness to increase core strength, stamina and flexibility. Review use of props and pose modifications for all body types. Blending physical and restorative to quiet the mind, relieve tension and stress. No specific fitness level is required as you’ll be encouraged to work within your own abilities and limitations. We encourage pre-registration to reserve your space. Class size is limited and drop-ins are welcome on a first come basis.  Cost $8 per class. Instructors are certified, trained and committed teachers, who have personal passion for both the ancient practice of Hatha Yoga and today’s Western modifications. Our classes are fun, friendly and profound; we encourage our students to make each class their own.
