Postcard from Duluth’s Skyline Parkway

This postcard image of Duluth from Gallagher’s Studio of Photography appears to be circa 1970. The card is not dated and was never mailed.

The description on the back reads:

Duluth, Minnesota

A view of Downtown Duluth taken from scenic Skyline Drive. Duluth’s new Arena-Auditorium on Harbor Drive and the new circular Radisson Hotel combine to make Duluth the Convention-Sport and Cultural Center of the Northwest.

The Duluth Arena-Auditorium opened in August 1966; the Radisson Hotel Duluth Harborview opened in May 1970.

Funny...if the Saab were red I would wonder if it was our family. We had one of those 3 cylinder models, first new car my dad bought, and there were three of us kids. But my mother had hair like that in the day and we often drove the route as residents of the upper east hillside.
