All of this has happened before and will happen again.

What's the flood year? 1973 or 1972? Colored photo date is "1973 Duluth, Minnesota" and article's title is "Photos of the 1972 Flood."

It's a 1973 calendar depicting the floods of 1972.

I didn't live here then, but when the Duluth Deluge of 2012 sunk my car, basement, and lots of my stuff I was told it was a once-every-100-year flood. Looks more like once every 40 years is more accurate - hopefully I'll be in a nursing home by then and watching it on TV as opposed to lugging out my entire basement in super hot weather. For those that were not really affected the smell is something you will never forget, but what really sucked was that the only thing that was offered for assistance were loans with a pretty high interest rate. Thanks FEMA! Luckily up here we just pull our bootstraps up and clean up after the mess.
