
Postpartum Mental Health Interprofessional Dialogue

A two-night community conversation around interprofessional approaches to postpartum mental health. The dates are September 9 and 10 at 6 p.m. in the Fourth Floor Rotunda at the University of Minnesota Kathryn Martin Library.
On night 1, there is a presentation on the Minnesota Maternal Mortality Report with the Minnesota Department of Health, a lived experience panel and moderated table discussions, followed by Q&A. On night 2, hear about innovations in postpartum mental health from multidisciplinary professionals. This will be followed by an interactive and generative, moderated session focusing on visioning solutions that work.
A wide variety of community professionals are involved in this series. These include but are not limited to: doulas and birthworkers, midwives, medical professionals, mental health therapists and psychologists, psychiatry providers, early childhood educators, public health staff, university faculty, social services and nonprofit agencies and more. At the end of the event, a resource guide is available.
