Plein Air Autumn Workshop

This three-hour workshop is for plein air painters wishing to learn an approach to outdoor landscape painting in autumn. Matt Kania will demonstrate and provide one-on-one guidance toward painting a scene with fall colors.

Attendees should bring their own pochade painting box with tripod or plein air easel, along with paints, brushes, palette knife, odorless mineral spirits and paper towels. The session is geared towards oil painting, but students wishing to use gouache or watercolors are welcome to bring those supplies. A camping chair and clothing for inclement weather are also suggested. The painting location for the workshop will be determined by weather forecast and announced prior to class.
