Park Point 5-Miler and 2-Mile Walk 2026 (Canceled)

This event has been canceled due to hazardous and unhealthy air quality.

All registered adults in the Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk may opt to receive a refund for, or donate, their race entry fee to the Young Athletes Foundation. Each adult participant must fill out the form separately. Youth participants ages 18 and under registered for free and should not fill out the form.

To request a refund, complete the form on or before Friday, July 24. Anyone choosing not to receive a refund of their race entry fee is supporting the ability to keep the kids’ races free at future Young Athletes Foundation events.

Anyone registered for the KP Challenge who requests a refund will be refunded for the Park Point 5-Miler & 2-Mile Walk portion of their registration only. Refunds will not include the processing fees paid to the registration platform.

Registered participants can pick up their race shirts during normal business hours — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday — at the Grandma’s Marathon office, 351 Canal Park Drive, until July 24.

The 55th annual Park Point 5-Miler starts near the Park Point Pavilion. Participants run down Minnesota Avenue before finishing back near the pavilion. They have the choice of a 5-mile run or a 2-mile walk.

This is the last of three races in the annual KP Challenge, in which participants commit to three races throughout the spring and summer. The others are the Saint Fennessy 4K and Fitger’s 5K. The aim of the challenge is to help participants keep on a regular training schedule and consistently complete longer distance races. Net proceeds benefit the Young Athletes Foundation, a Grandma’s Marathon program focused on the promotion and development of youth athletics.

In celebration of its 50th year, Grandma’s Marathon is offering free entries for those ages 18 and under to each of the five Young Athletes Foundation races in 2026.
