
2026 Garden Wrap and Potato Fest

Horticulturist Bob Olen, agriculture educator Troy Salzer, professional chef Matthew Francis and the Extension Master Gardeners join forces for this program, which will feature a review of the 2026 gardening season with its many highlights and challenges, including strategies for dealing with drought and weather extremes, techniques for improving tomato yields, organic controls and methods of managing Colorado and Japanese beetles, performance of some new and outstanding vegetables, flowers and potato varieties and keys to growing success.
The gardening discussion will be followed by the 2026 Potato Fest, where professional chef Matthew Francis will discuss methods of preparing potato dishes. Potato dish sampling will follow and attendees can vote on their favorites.
$25 registration fee includes potato dish sampling and recipe book/resource materials. Space is limited to the first 75 people who register.
