Naomi has a Substack
If you have lived in Duluth a long time, you know (and maybe miss) the voice of Naomi Yeager. Naomi was an editor of the now-defunct Duluth Hillsider and also led the Budgeteer. It was under Naomi’s editorship that I got a lot of my non-PDD writing lessons — she was a great editor.
Naomi now maintains a SubStack. Link below if you want to hear her unique voice again.

Thanks for the shout out, David.
My manuscript is a creative narrative nonfiction story about a girl in southwest Minnesota who grows up during the Great Depression and comes of age during WWII.
For now, the Substack is a way for me to create excitement and prospective readers. I’m still in the editing stages and need to find a cover and other items. I’ve been struggling with a title.
Here are some titles I’m considering:
1 – Janette’s Story
2 – Do All the Good You Can
3 – Love Justice and Walk Humbly
4 – Yellow Tulips
5 – Cleaned and Pressed
6. – Smartly Pressed
7 – Growing up in the Coteau des Prairies
8 – Her Magical Years
9 – The Girl with the Can-Do Attitude
10 – Play Jacks with Me
