Two wonderful photos, but I have to go with Dead Guys on this. I think the colored apple basket in Mary’s photo draws unnecessary attention to it. The amount of contrast in Mary’s photo is so effing nice, as well as the depth in the background and her position in the shot.
Snob mode OFF.
I have to call this one an upset. I thought Mary Bue would take it. Perhaps the digital editing of the photo turned off purists.
Obviously dramatic photo editing would disqualify a publicity photo from the competition, such as this one of the 13th Choir.
But a little color tweak here and there is fine in my book.
This is not our, ah, ‘official’ publicity photo, but we appreciate your acknowledgement and hope to continue to earn your attention in the future. (I’m the guy with ‘Johari’s Window.)
