Onion A.V. Club in Hibbing
The Onion A.V. Club’s Sean O’Neal traveled to Hibbing for a video that soaks up the Bob Dylan experience for the series Pop Pilgrims. There’s a nice look inside the Hibbing High School Auditorium — Minnesota’s second-nicest high-school auditorium.

The Twin Cities no longer has a local A.V. Club presence.
That’s too bad about the Onion/A.V. Club. I look forward to picking up a copy whenever I’m in the cities.

The Onion used to be a pretty quality rag. When Village Voice bought them out, they changed a lot of what made the rag enjoyable. Hmm…seems you’re right. The Onion did get assimilated by a larger company a few years ago, did it not? Or was the format change a result of a larger circulation?
Speaking of City Pages, Village Voice is experiencing the same kind of problems with its back page that it has been having in Seattle.
