I plucked about six or eight deer ticks yesterday while hiking at Banning State Park. If you need a reminder that hiking muddy cross-country ski trails this time of year is dumb, well, here it is.
I farm-sat for some people once who had this really stupid giant black Doberman, no offense to any owners of this breed, it was a sweet dog, just dumb as a peanut. One morning after feeding the animals, I discovered a large swollen wood tick on her anterior sphincter muscle. Once the thing had established its presence in my mind, on her asshole, I knew what I had to do, and that right soon. But all I could find in the way of a tool was a hole puncher. I hip locked her between my legs, and I think some manner of white tick puss hit me in the eye as it screamed, but I chopped that fucker in half anyway because a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. Rubbed some ointment on there and away she went, happy as a clam. I saved her on that day I can tell you. No mercy for the ticks.
I just found one on my nipple! I hope these ticks are true believers and disappear this weekend.
Ahhhhhh!!!! Was I complaining that the RSS feed wasn’t showing me every comment? After reading Paul’s, I think I prefer it broken!
