The things men do for love
In a tragic follow-up story to Swan’s post from November, Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has gotten rid of his mullet. Apparently his fiancé didn’t dig it.
What’s next? Will Frank Nichols shave his beard?

I’m mourning with two r’s.
Frank is not susceptible to influences by the fairer sex. He told me he quit chasing women, and about the same time, they started chasing him, beard and all. J. Allen is a wuss for “blaming” his fiancée that his stupid trademark haircut is gone. Just tell the truth, “it was for attention and now I’m sick of it.” Still love his football playing, just don’t care about the off the field antics.
Jared Allen recently noted “The things men do for love. Oh, it starts with the mullet. Next thing you know, you have to throw out your favorite old Skynyrd t-shirt with the holes in the armpits, then you start carrying a man-purse and it’s all over.”
Just saw Willie Nelson just cut his hair.
And now, there’s finally a video tribute to Allen’s mullet …
Will the mullet return?
(Sorry, a commercial precedes the video.)
Quoth Allen:
“I want to grow it back. But it takes forever. It’s in my heart still. It’s still a way of life. Sometimes you gotta do things for love and for your parents and I cut the mullet for my wedding. Hopefully the Propecia helps and keeps my hair from falling out.”
And finally …

… it’s back!
