Postcard Greetings from Duluth in 1966

This postcard was mailed Sept. 3, 1966 — sixty years ago today. It features a scene from Skyline Parkway overlooking Downtown Duluth, with Lake Superior, the Aerial Lift Bridge, Minnesota Point and the Duluth Harbor as the focal points.

The caption on the card reads:

A view from the beautiful Boulevard Drive in Duluth, Minnesota overlooking the Duluth-Superior Harbor where vessels from the world’s ports arrive after transiting the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Great Lakes.

The names on the card are difficult to read, but it looks like someone named Ruth wrote to someone named Eleanor:

A beautiful drive up from Lake City today — not too warm.
