Postcard from Duluth’s Zoological Gardens

This undated postcard, published by Arrowhead Trading Post of Duluth, shows the zoological gardens and main zoo building of what is now known as Lake Superior Zoo.

The caption on the back of the card reads:

The Duluth Municipal Zoo is one of the finest Zoological Gardens in the country, having a very beautiful setting, together with unusual housing facilities. The Zoo has the distinction of having the only family of tigers ever bred in captivity.
