Writing Communities: The Writing Group at Sara’s Table
Calyx Books was a significant creative force in shaping poetic life in Duluth. These two pages, from a Calyx Press book discussed in the Duluth Budgeteer, are a kind of evidence of that impact, creating and manifesting literary community.
Whenever a writer publishes, she has that exposed feeling, but publishing with four other people who have such wonderful work makes it a lot more fun, said Niedringhaus, who published a book in 2003 and has had poetry in several journals.
“The Moon Rolls Out of Our Mouths” is being printed by Calyx Press.
