My heart is on fire for this lost Duluth poet
Elvira T. Johnson was a leader among poets. As I reconstruct the history of the Arrowhead in poets, she seems to be a voice I need to reconstruct.
She edited books like This is Our Heritage: Tribute in Verse by Members of the Arrowhead Poetry Society. She wrote her own books, like Into the Daybreak.
She had a statewide presence in the League of Minnesota Poets.
A lot of traces, but I’m not seeing the larger story. Can anyone help?
