Placemats as Time Capsule of Duluth Poetry

As part of the Duluth Poet Laureate collection being built at the University of Minnesota Duluth Kathryn A. Martin Library Archives & Special Collections, Sheila Packa donated some poetry placemats that were collected for use at an Empty Bowl event.

Empty Bowl was a fundraiser for a local organization fighting hunger. Duluthians would buy a bowl, typically donated by local, amateur potters, and be given soup, typically donated by local restaurants.

These placemats are a time capsule of poetry in Duluth. Are you on this placemat set?  Is someone you love on this placemat set?  Do you have stories about this placemat set, the poems that appear on it, or more? I would love to hear them!
