Aanjitoon

Whenever I am sipping cool water under this sign, I know I am going to have a good time.

This time, the show is a joint show by two artists, Nedahness Greene, a Leech Lake Band Ojibwe tribal member and Caitlin Newago, a Bad River Ojibwe tribal member.

The exhibit, “Aanjitoon: Anishinaabe Art Through a Contemporary Lens,” showcases “a cultural reclamation and connection to Anishinaabe seasonal life and traditions.” It was also just beautiful.

I snapped a few pictures of Newago’s art, which can also be seen on Facebook. Both beautiful and affordably priced.

Greene also posts amazing photography on Facebook and was profiled on Indian Country Today. I encourage everyone to take a look.
