Duluth Junkyard in 1937

Russell Lee shot this photograph of a Duluth junkyard in May of 1937 for the United States Resettlement Administration, predecessor to the Farm Security Administration, which eventually became part of the United States Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency.

Above is a closer look at the men in the center of the featured image. Below is another image, believed to be from the same day, same location.

I'm a responsible drinker and take my empties for responsible recycle. Also a location for same product in the photo, my view would indicate that the local repurposer of iron works has not changed since the beginning of fire.
