Duluth-area musicians join forces with DanSan Creatives, the city of Duluth and the U.S. Census Bureau in this music video encouraging everyone to complete the 2020 census form.

The song, “Let it Shine,” is a spin on the 1920s gospel song “This Little Light of Mine,” recomposed by Charles Obije. The lyrics are sung in English, Spanish and Ojibwe. Joining Obije in the performance are Diona Johnson, Karen Valdez, Nitaa-Nagamokwe (Lyz Jaakola), Rudy Perrault, Popo Perrault, Jeremy Gardner (JayGee), Lauren Cooper, Ingerborg Von Agassiz and Corey McCauley.

Census workers will begin visiting households on Aug. 11.
