Duluth You & Me: A Souvenir Activity/Coloring Book

Right in the middle of a shelter-in-place order, when a Duluth coloring and activity book is most needed, Perfect Duluth Day pulls this 1993 relic out of the basement library.

Below are the title and introduction pages. Future posts will feature individual pages with PDF files for easy downloading, printing and doodling at home.

As shown below, this book was published by Superior Print & Copy of Duluth and the illustrations are by Beverley Gronlund. The internet does not provide much information on either the business or the artist, but there is an obituary for Beverley Olson Gronlund in the Duluth News Tribune’s archive that indicates she lived on Celia Street in Piedmont Heights and died in 1997 at the age of 67. She was born and raised in Turtle Lake, Wis., and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1952. She moved to Duluth in 1954 and taught at Lowell Elementary School until 1960. The obit also notes she was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church, the Creative Stitchers and the Rosemaling Society.

Below are PDF files of the images in this post, for those who want to be thorough and color the cover, title page and introduction.
